Local to Worcester

Joinery made for Worcester homes

We take on kitchens, wardrobes, panelling and commercial joinery in Worcester, manufactured in our own workshop and fitted by our team.

We work throughout Worcester

We work across Worcester and the surrounding area, including St John's, Barbourne, Diglis, Warndon and the villages towards Droitwich. Everything is made at our Stratford-upon-Avon workshop and fitted in Worcester by our own team of five.

Getting to you and booking dates

Worcester is a regular run from our workshop, and we plan surveys, design visits and fitting days accordingly. Instead of quoting a response window we cannot guarantee, we book consultations directly with you and confirm manufacture and fitting dates in writing.

Property types in Worcester

Worcester combines timber-framed and Georgian property near the cathedral and city centre with extensive Victorian terraces in Barbourne and St John's, interwar suburbs, and modern developments at Warndon and around the edges. There is also a steady stream of commercial fit-out work in the city, cafés, retail units and offices.

What we are asked for most here

Frequent Worcester requests include alcove cupboards and bookcases in Victorian terraces, wall panelling in hallways and reception rooms, bespoke kitchens for period and extended houses, fitted wardrobes and dressing rooms, and commercial joinery packages for city-centre businesses.

Local building conditions

The problems Worcester properties bring us

Victorian terraces with uneven alcoves

Barbourne and St John's terraces almost always have two alcoves of different widths and walls that taper with height. Building both sides to shared shelf and door lines is what makes a pair of units look original to the house.

Timber-framed and historic city property

Near the cathedral and older streets, buildings move and nothing is plumb. Fitted joinery has to be surveyed thoroughly and scribed generously, with mouldings matched to what is already there.

Riverside and older solid-wall buildings

Worcester's older, low-lying property can carry damp in solid walls. We batten and pack rather than fixing directly to suspect plaster, and select materials and finishes to suit the substrate.

Commercial units on a tight programme

City-centre fit-outs rarely have slack in the programme, and joinery usually sits on the critical path. Because we manufacture in our own workshop rather than buying the package in, the dates stay ours to hold, and RAMS and drawings are issued as standard.

We couldn't be happier with the work MJS did building the children's playroom at Hooray's Gelato Kitchen. This was the first time they'd taken on a project like this, and you honestly would never know it.
