What architectural joinery & wall panelling is
Architectural joinery is the fixed woodwork that shapes a room: wall panelling, dado and picture rails, cornices and mouldings, door linings and doors, window shutters, staircase joinery and feature timber detailing. We draw it, machine it in our Stratford-upon-Avon workshop and fit and finish it with our own team.

It suits owners of period properties who want new work to sit convincingly alongside original detail, and owners of modern homes who want to add the architectural weight a new-build room lacks. It also suits anyone who has seen panelling kits and realised the proportions never quite match the room.
When it is needed
Best planned before decorating, since panelling changes where sockets, switches and radiators can sit. We often work alongside decorators and electricians on renovation projects, and on listed or period properties where sympathetic detailing is required.

Machining in our workshop
Mouldings, panels and components are machined to the agreed profiles in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Installation and set-out on site
Battened, packed and fixed to the drawn set-out, with services relocated by our in-house electrician where needed.
Step 5
Finishing and hand over
Filled, sanded and finished to a spray-quality standard, then cleaned down and handed over.

Panelling lives or dies on its set-out. We draw the elevations first so the proportions are right before a single length of timber is machined.
Design consultations and quotations are free. There is no fixed price list, every project is priced individually because every project is made to measure. A deposit of 30–50% is taken depending on the size of the work.

How much does bespoke wall panelling cost?
Panelling is priced individually after a survey, based on the wall area, the profiles and the finish. The design consultation and itemised quotation are free.
Can you match the mouldings in my period property?
Yes. We take the profile from the existing work and machine to match rather than using the nearest stock moulding.
Will panelling work in a room with sockets and radiators?
Yes. We record their positions at survey and design around them, and our in-house electrician can relocate sockets and switches where needed.
How do you decide the panel height and layout?
We draw the room in elevation and set the grid from your window heads, door lines, cornice and skirting, so the proportions relate to the room.
Do you paint the panelling as well?
We finish the joinery to a spray-quality standard. Where a decorator is involved, we coordinate so the finish is consistent.
Do you make internal doors and staircases too?
Yes. Doors, door sets, shutters and staircase joinery are all made in our workshop.
What deposit do you take?
30–50% depending on the size of the project, with the balance on completion.
