Bespoke Joinery for Leamington Spa Homes

Regency ceiling heights, deep cornices and tall sash windows make standard furniture look lost. Every piece we build for Leamington is set out to the room's own proportions.

Joinery made for Leamington Spa homes

Leamington's Regency and Victorian homes have ceiling heights and cornice details that standard furniture simply cannot follow. We set out every piece to the room.

We work throughout Leamington Spa

We cover Royal Leamington Spa and the surrounding area, including Milverton, Lillington, Whitnash, Sydenham and the streets around the Parade. The joinery is made at our workshop in Stratford-upon-Avon and fitted in Leamington by our own team of five.

Getting to you and booking dates

Leamington sits within easy reach of our workshop, which keeps survey visits, design meetings and fitting days practical to schedule. We agree a consultation time with you directly and then confirm manufacture and fitting dates in writing with the quotation, rather than quoting a response window in advance.

Property types in Leamington Spa

Leamington has one of the finest stocks of Regency and early Victorian housing in the Midlands: tall rooms, deep cornices, shuttered sash windows and generous proportions, much of it converted or subdivided. Alongside it sit Victorian terraces in Lillington and Sydenham and modern apartments near the town centre. Tall rooms are an opportunity, full-height joinery gains a large amount of storage, but only if the set-out respects the existing detail.

What we are asked for most here

Common requests here are full-height wardrobes and dressing rooms in large bedrooms, wall panelling and dado schemes that match original mouldings, library-style fitted shelving in high-ceilinged reception rooms, bespoke kitchens for period houses, and media walls designed to sit properly beside a original chimney breast rather than fighting it.

Local building conditions

The problems Leamington Spa properties bring us

Ceiling heights standard furniture cannot reach

A 3m Regency ceiling leaves close to a metre of dead air above a standard 2.1m wardrobe. That gap collects dust, spoils the proportions of the room and wastes the storage that is easiest to build. Full-height joinery, with lower reach storage below and seasonal storage above, solves all three.

Cornices, picture rails and dados

New joinery in a Regency room has to negotiate existing mouldings. We either return the joinery neatly into the cornice line or stop it deliberately below the rail, never let it collide awkwardly with original plasterwork.

Subdivided and converted layouts

Many Leamington houses have been divided into flats or maisonettes, leaving rooms with half a fireplace, a boxed-in riser or a partition cutting across a window. Bespoke joinery is usually the only way to make those rooms read coherently again.

Sash windows, shutters and reveals

Deep window reveals and original shutters restrict where cabinetry can sit and how doors can swing. We record reveal depths and shutter movement at survey so nothing fouls once installed.

Common questions

Answers before you enquire

Do you serve Leamington Spa?

How soon can you visit a property in Leamington Spa?

Consultations are booked by appointment at a time that suits you. Call 01527 757009 and we will offer the earliest available slot.

What does bespoke joinery cost in Leamington Spa?

Each project is priced individually after a survey. There is no fixed price list and no per-metre rate, and the quotation is free and itemised.

Is there an emergency or out-of-hours service?

No. Everything is made to order in our workshop and delivered to an agreed programme.

Can you build full-height joinery in a Regency room?

Yes, and it is usually the right answer in a tall room. We draw the elevations first so the proportions work with the cornice and window lines.

Can you match existing cornice and skirting profiles?

Yes. We take the profile from the original work and machine to match.

Do you handle lighting inside wardrobes and panelling?

Yes, our in-house electrician wires lighting as part of the joinery.

What deposit do you take?

30–50% depending on the size of the project, with the balance due on completion.

We couldn't be happier with the work MJS did building the children's playroom at Hooray's Gelato Kitchen. This was the first time they'd taken on a project like this, and you honestly would never know it.
